University of Eldoret (UoE) is a public university located in Eldoret town in Uasin Gishu County of Kenya. It had been a constituent college of Moi University (Kenya) from 1984 to 2013 before it was chartered to full university status. UoE is known for her excellence in science, science teachers’ training and in cutting edge innovations in agriculture and in science. It was the pioneer institution in Kenya to introduce degree study programmes in environmental studies. UoE has 8 academic schools with over 139 study programmes in science and technology. It has robust interdesciplinary and multidesciplinary research programmes in water.
