SDG Overview

SDG Target

  • By 2030 strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters in all countries.

Context

Climate change increases water risks, such as; water scarcity, pollution, competition, and impact on water infrastructure. Increasing resilience is important to address such vulnerabilities, and benefits from governmental or institutional capacity to adapt and manage risk; a supportive regulatory and policy framework, and the ability to cope with changes at a local level.
