The Clean and Conserve Education Program is designed to help children ages four and older learn about water conservation and healthy hygiene practices through school and community educators, or on their own. The program has five educational components, divided by age level; the full suite or materials is available in English, Chinese, Spanish and German. A guide for educators is also available in French for Canada and Portuguese for Brazil. The curriculum includes a resources for young people and a guide for educators featuring hands-on activities to encourage positive personal health habits and more sustainable water use. More than two million people worldwide will be reached with effective, science-based education on water conservation and hygiene. The pilot phase includes four specific markets--St. Paul, MN (USA), Mexico City (Mexico), Shanghai (China) and Monheim (Germany), but materials are available free of charge from http://www.projectwet.org/cleanandconserve.
