Water Education Everywhere Finite but renewable, water is essential for life. We all use, need and impact water, so understanding how we can use water more sustainably is vital. Water literacy starts with effective education. Our mission is to provide that education. The Project WET Foundation: • Trains more than 30,000 educators each year to teach about water through a worldwide network of local, state, national and international partners. • Reaches millions of children with water-science education methods that are hands-on, effective and universal, including online at DiscoverWater.org. • Promotes community action by designing educational materials that empower solutions to pressing local water issues (ActionEducationTM). • Creates and publishes materials that tackle critical and complex water topics in engaging and scientifically valid ways. • Forges strategic partnerships and advocates globally for innovative water resources education. Vision: To develop and deliver world-class water resources education that ensures a sustainable planet where water needs are met and all people are good stewards of water.
