Simavi is a non-profit organization that believes everyone has a right to good health. Together with women and girls in Africa and Asia, we work on a healthy life for all. Through our local partner organisations, we provide information and training. Not just to the women themselves: we work with the entire community to ensure taboos are discussed and women-friendly facilities and services are established. At the same time, we ask (local) governments to work on women-friendly policies in the areas of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and to include women and other groups that are often left behind in decision making. This way, women are empowered to pursue their rights to live a healthy life.
