Project Overview

The plant currently reuses approx. 26,000m3 of water per year for Lime milk preparation, from backwash of demineralization Reverse Osmosis process and intermittent volumes of effluent water from regeneration of resin beds cycles. The plant cooling cycle is equipped with a bypass filtration step which improves water quality and allows more water recirculation in the cooling loop. This saves on make-up water consumption, and thus river water supply.
