School children are one of the most vulnerable groups that face the problem of water scarcity and quality. In Bangladesh, many schools lack proper facilities for water supply, sanitation, and hygiene. Without safe drinking water, many school days are lost every year due to water-related diseases, affecting the education and health of students. Achieving UN Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation

Eco Billboard is an innovative and sustainable solution that can collect and purify water from air, rain, and fog using renewable energy sources. Eco Billboard can also serve as an educational tool to raise awareness about the importance of protecting and restoring water-related ecosystems.

The following are the main ideas of our project:

At the selected institution in Bangladesh, we will design and Install an eco-billboard that can collect and filter water from the air, rain, and fog.

To measure and assess the water quality, quantity, and accessibility for the school community, we will use a cloud-based platform that tracks the amount of water collected and the weather forecast.

We'll involve young people in fundraising initiatives to help with the Eco Billboard's upkeep and sustainability.

With additional Bangladeshi schools and stakeholders, we will disseminate the findings and lessons from the pilot initiative.

The advantages of our project include:

Improved access to safe drinking water for the school community. Improved understanding of and involvement in water and environmental challenges. Better health and educational outcomes for the children. Achieving UN Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation

Unintended Consequences

Low user acceptance or satisfaction of the Eco Billboard system due to cultural, social, or behavioral factors.

Safe drinking water is a major challenge to public health and a key facilitator of health, education, and other outcomes for children and adolescents. That’s why benefits of drinking safe water must be promoted, practically demonstrated and sustained with the help of the future change makers (students) harnessing their creativity, strength and skills through unique initiatives like SAFE Water Campaign.
