Organization Overview

LEDARS is an NGO working in the coastal area of Bangladesh. The main focus of LEDARS working area is Water supply, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). LEDARS has been awarded by World Water Showcase award in 7th World Water Forum, 2015, and Channel I-Standard Charter AGROW Award 2020. LEDARS is an NGO working in the coastal area of Bangladesh. The main focus of LEDARS working area is Water supply, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). LEDARS has been awarded by World Water Showcase award in 7th World Water Forum, 2015, and Channel I-Standard Charter AGROW Award 2020. In 2023, LEDARS got Zayed Sustainability Prize in the water category. LEDARS is providing technical, financial, and other support to the community people to solve the drinking water problem in the southwest coastal region and provide support to farmers for better water management for resilient agriculture. Till now LEDARS installed more than 5,400 drinking water technologies including PSF, BSF, MAR, Rainwater Harvesting Systems, Reverse Osmosis, etc. Till now LEDARS created safe water access to 16,000+ families in the working area. LEDARS is now expanding its Integrated Water Resouces Management Model in the similar area of Khulna and Bagerhat districts.
