As part of our global program for direct suppliers, we ensure that compliance with wastewater standards is enforced and work in improving efficiency in water intense processes such as denim production. We also screen our suppliers against publicly available data on discharge violations to ensure appropriate actions have been taken to avoid violations in the future and encourage suppliers to disclose their performance. With second-tier suppliers, with whom we do not have direct business relationships, we engage through Cleaner production programs in partnership with Solidaridad, BMI, and NRDC to improve water and chemical management. With WWF , we have to engage in Taihu basin with other textile brands to improve the water stewardship of Industrial parks.
