Project Overview

Agreement between Anglo American Platinum and the Rustenburg Water Services Trust to use 15 Ml/d of treated sewerage effluent from its sewage treatment plant at a cost of R2.1million per month. This amount will increase to 25 Ml/d when the treatment plant reaches full capacity. It is planned that in 2017 this will increase with an additional 5 ML/d to 20MLthrough the installation of a Dissolved Air Flotation device (DAF), which will release 6 to 8 ML of potable water.
