The governmentsubsidizes 90% of the cost of equipment, installation, and fiveyears warranty. This scheme is expected to result in 2 millionnew solar pump installations.Grundfos is supporting this initiative with no foreseeableprospect of turning a profit.Between 2019 and 2020, we will invest approximately DKK25 million to adapt current Grundfos offerings to the uniqueneeds of the market. By 2025, we expect to offer differentiatedsolutions that are fully customized to the Kusum scheme, andlocally produced in India.The Grundfos project aims to bring solar-driven irrigationwater to 2.5 million farms in India while saving an estimated4.1 million tones of CO2 over the next five years.
