In 2010, FIAP became partner of Singularity University to create the Call to Innovation - a contest that awards the best idea of technology in order to solve mankind's greatest challenges, addressing, at least, 1 million people. Singularity University, regarding its success, exported it to 21 cities around the world. The 5th Brazilian edition, The Water Crisis, is opened to all Brazilians citizens, who live in Brazil and legally adults, 18 years old and above only. It's mandatory to be graduated or coursing an undergraduate program (College/University). Individuals should submit a project or idea until March 15th, 2015, that helps to solve or minimize the worldwide water crisis by using technology. Six projects (one publicly chosen and five chosen through a specialists’ committee) will be qualified to a face-to-face final pitch presentation in São Paulo. The best project will win a US$ 30,000 scholarship at Singularity University and a full MBA scholarship at FIAP. Further ahead in the process, UN local Collaboration Lab (Water) could assist the finalists and some other interesting projects. Also, through the hub, participants will be able to pitch for sponsors and partners that could help the ideas go to market.
