Centre for Coastal Environmental Conservation

Organization Overview

Environmental Awareness for the Sundarbans Coastal Communities facing threats of sea level rise caused by global warming. Livelihood of thousands of Sundarbans stakeholders the Bowali (wood and thatch cutter), Mowali (honey extractor) and Jellay (fish and crab harvester) along with the ecological services is threatened due to Sundarbans mangrove ecosystem degradation resulting from the fresh water reduction from the north. National, Regional and Global coordination is prerequisite for the existence of Sundarbans, only remaining thing which is keeping Bangladesh from being sliding into Bay of Bengal.
