Project Overview

Working with the Wami-Ruvu Basin Office and Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to monitor groundwater quality and the extent of changes to groundwater levels in the city. In addition, this collaboration is looking to fill abandoned open wells and boreholes which act as channels for further contamination, and supporting the Wami-Ruvu Basin Office to facilitate the implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management in the river basin.
