Our response strategy at this site has been to implement an overall water stewardship programme that includes targets specific to water stressed sites. The timeframe for this response strategy is the period of 2007 through 2020 - specifically the site is subject to the following two targets: 1) to improve water use efficiency by more than 50% by 2020; and 2) to replenish the amount of water used in final products back into the watershed. We have invested in development of water storage capacity for farmers in Narok through construction/ rehabilitation of a dam in the area and have implemented WASH projects within other farming communities. In addition, we are increasing our engagement with suppliers, community, involvement in infrastructure investment and greater due diligence. And supporting river basin restoration and promote best practice and awareness.

Project Results

1) to improve water use efficiency by more than 50% by 2020;

2) to replenish the amount of water used in final products back into the watershed
