Studies have been performed in 2016 in order to assess the instream flow which will be taken into account in the next prefectural order. A new and optimized cooling system has been studied and should be implemented in order to decrease cooling water usage by 35% - to comply with potential reduced pumping volume within coming regulation. Estimated investment for the new installation is 1.8 million euros (not yet approved). Choice will be driven by energy cost and CAPEX for potential technical solutions. The new system will use more energy as refrigeration unit will be installed. The cost includes all investments necessary to implement the new cooling system.

Project Results
