At the beginning of 2014, the wastewater treatment plant was at the limit of its capacity, due to increasing of production. In 2015, Camposol started to improve its wastewater treatment plant. The Project included the construction of a solid separation system, the expansion of sedimentation lagoons, the expansion of aeration lagoons, the expansion of diffuser systems, gravel filters and activated carbon. The Project objective was to reuse all the treated water to irrigate forests, complying with the Peruvian Environmental Quality Standards for water. This expansion makes possible to irrigate 7 hectares of forest in Chao community. Principal activities: engineering study, budget approval, construction of 4 solid separation systems, construction of 2 sedimentation lagoons, Construction of 2 aeration lagoons, construction of a diffuser system, construction of 4 gravel filters and activated carbon systems, monitoring.
