Status of the project

The UN and other countries declared access of safe drinking water as a fundamental human right and an essential step towards improving living standards. Safe drinking water is safe for drinking, food preparation, personal hygiene and washing. Water is connected to every form of life on earth and it is equally important as air. Science clearly states that a human being can survive 3 weeks without food but he cannot survive for 3/4 days without water. Clean water is vital to our health, communities and economy.

Project Narrative

Water is one of the most vital resources. When water is polluted it is devastating not only the environment but also to human health and communities of all sizes. Even local, state and federal governments make large investments each year to keep the country’s water clean and safe. Science clearly states that a human being can survive three weeks without food but a man can not survive 3-4 days without it. Water is the primary necessity. It is a horrific fact that there are billions of people around the world who do not have access to clean drinking water. Water is a fundamental human need. Each person on earth requires at least 20 to 50 litres of clean, safe water a day for drinking, cooking and simply keeping themselves clean. Safer water supplies hygienic sanitation and good water management are fundamental to global health. Safer water could prevent child’s death from diarrhea and malnutrition and death’s from malaria. The human body is made of 60% water and this is a clear enough indication of the importance of water. Clean water is vital to our health, communities and economy. People depend on clean water for their health. Our cherished way of life depends on clean water. Polluted water is not just dirty- it is deadly. People die every year of diarrheal diseases; tens of millions of others are seriously sickened by a host of water related ailments-many of which are easily preventable. If clothes are washed or the body is washed with contaminated water, this too will result in the rise of diseases. So clean water is very necessary for good health of all aged people.
