The project proposes development of an integrated water supply project to serve about 5000 people affected by walk long distances of more than 1.5 kilometers to reach the nearest water stream and water related diseases in Rongo pala Sub location Homabay county Kenya. The project will comprise of drilling a borehole, installation of water storage tanks, and development of community water collection points. The project will also provide training to women in water project management and maintenance, health and sanitation, water conservation, fish farming and use of water for productive activities as well as educating school children in hygiene.

The work will include development drilling of borehole, storage tank, water collection points and safe water training to the community. Other social and economic activities will also be integrated including tree planting, fish farming and vegetable production.
