Project Overview

The main objective of the WASH Rapid Response Project (WRRP) to facilitate and enhance rapid
responses on influential factors affecting equity in access to water, sanitation and hygiene in
Beledweyne IDPs and host populations. This project is non-external funded and seeks to build
the knowledge and skills of young people through peer education sessions for in and out of
school youths aged between 12-17.

The main objective of the WASH Rapid Response Project (WRRP) to facilitate and enhance rapid
responses on influential factors affecting equity in access to water, sanitation and hygiene in
Beledweyne IDPs and host populations. This project is non-external funded and seeks to build
the knowledge and skills of young people through peer education sessions for in and out of
school youths aged between 12-17.

This activity will be carried out within the expanded WASH strategy for WASH in Beledweyne and the
overall activity will help all stake holders to:
i. Tailor communication education strategies, message development and communication material to promote equity in access to WASH and value for informal peer education in Beledweyne.
ii. Use the result as scientific evidence in addressing issues affecting equity in access to WASH and values of informal peer education in different forums in Beledweyne.
The project implementation team will be led by a MAR Field Coordinator based in Beledweyne.
