The project goal is to address the problem of limited access to water experienced by the communities in and around the Giam Siak Kecil Biosphere Reserve in Sumatra. This problem will be addressed by developing a community-based water treatment system that can purify peat water containing high levels of unhealthy materials into a clean drinking water.
