Project Overview

WaterAid Colombia is installing public handwashing stations that will reach up to 7,000 people and 1,000 rural households daily, prioritizing access for already vulnerable indigenous Wayuu populations. WaterAid is also developing hygiene communications campaigns in native language to more effectively reach rural populations. Without focused messages in their mother tongue, indigenous communities are more vulnerable to the spread of COVID-19.
