Project Overview

In Ghana we donated materials to the Bongo and Kassena Nankana West Districts in the Upper East Region. These included: 30 handwashing stations known as Veronica buckets, comprising 100 litre buckets with waste bins, tissue and soap; 5 non-contact thermometers; 20 boxes of face masks; 350 botttles of hand sanitisers; 300 x 5 litres of liquid soap; and 350 bottles of liquid soap. In Ghana we donated materials to the Bongo and Kassena Nankana West Districts in the Upper East Region. These included: 30 handwashing stations known as Veronica buckets, comprising 100 litre buckets with waste bins, tissue and soap; 5 non-contact thermometers; 20 boxes of face masks; 350 botttles of hand sanitisers; 300 x 5 litres of liquid soap; and 350 bottles of liquid soap. This will help protect health workers in the Bongo and Kassena Nankana West District as they take care of their patients. WaterAid Ghana has been utilising radio, social media, such as their Instagram, to highlight and answer frequently asked questions regarding coronavirus, to give tips on how to protect yourself and uploading videos and images to promote handwashing.
