Aegea Sanitation, a private sector sanitation company in Brazil serving over 21 million people, has contributed its efforts to the COVID-19 response by disinfecting commonly used public areas and roads and by donating hygiene products to vulnerable population in the municipalities where the company operates. It is worth mentioning the partnership with the Manaus City Hall to install public sinks in the city to serve the homeless, including soap and posters showing proper handwashing technique. Aegea is ensuring continuity of service and has suspended water supply cuts, even in areas where water supply cuts have not been forbidden by government. We have adapted our operations to comply with all safety protocols, and we remain committed to our work in the municipalities where we serve.
