Project Narrative

Carpenter Ranch is a Conservancy-owned working ranch and preserve in Northwest Colorado that demonstrates how conservation and agriculture work in tandem. It serves as model of innovative irrigation and land management for other agricultural producers and stakeholders. The Ranch also hosts several community and education events. The Nature Conservancy replaced our aging irrigation infrastructure with a pivot sprinkler to improve irrigation efficiency and reduce total water consumption. The new pivot sprinklers replaced an almost 30-year-old side-roll wheel line sprinkler system.
