Project Overview

Mangroves are threatened by agriculture, tourism, and logging. This project conserves and restores 27,000 acres of natural mangrove forests. The project will remove an estimated 1 million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere in its lifetime. In partnership with Apple, this initiative will test a new approach to valuing the full carbon potential of mangrove ecosystems.
