At the beginning of 2018, Mexico City's "Agua Capital" initiated a 5-year pilot scheme to improve infiltration and aquifer recharge in areas that are currently devoted to agricultural and forest activities. The pilot has been well received by local farmers and the community, but for its results to be taken to scale, a series of social, environmental and economic metrics are required as a contribution to an attractive business case. This grant will support activities that will increase the uptake of the already implemented pilot by seeking additional strategic partners within the community of San Miguel Topilejo in Mexico City.
