The company has invested a huge amount to augment infrastructure at Steel Works and raw material divisions to reduce its dependency on fresh water. All our raw material divisions consume fresh water mainly for domestic purposes. The requirement of process water is met with rain water harvesting, treated domestic waste water and the mining water only. For TSJ operation, we have already started using the treated STP water for our process requirement, it will help us to reduce the fresh water consumption significantly in coming days. We also have a plan to consume all the treated STP water generated in the township. Also several water recycling projects are in pipe line to improve water efficiency further.

Project Results

Improved water efficiency and reduced consumption of fresh water.
