The Arroyo Seco Foundation is dedicated to the preservation, protection and restoration of the Arroyo Seco watershed. The Arroyo Seco is a major tributary of the Los Angeles River that links the San Gabriel Mountains to the main stem of the LA River near downtown Los Angeles. ASF serves as advocates and educators and also pursues restoration programs such as the Berkshire Creek Restoration Program. It operates Hahamongna Native Plant Nursery to provides native plants for stream and habitat restoration programs and for conservation-based landscaping. ASF, along with Pasadena Audubon Society, is a leading force in the Save Hahamongna campaign to develop a nature-based, sustainable approach to stream and sediment management in the Hahamongna basin at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains in the Arroyo Seco.
