VISION, MISSION AND GOALS OF HANDS ACROSS ZAMBIA MULTI-PURPOSE CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY LIMITED

The Hands Across Zambia Multi-purpose Co-operative Society / Hands Across Zambia Foundation was established to meet the needs of members and

the community in accordance with the principles and values. The Mission and Vision of the co-operative

are articulated in the congruence with the Vision, Mission and Goals of the Hands Across Zambia Multipurpose where the members are employed.

The Co-operative is governed by a board whose members are elected according to the co-operative

constitution. The board is responsible for ensuring that the Co-operative is governed and managed

prudently to meet its obligations to members and the community.

Vision

Hands Across Zambia Multi-purpose Co-operative is a Godly inspired and fully empowered cooperative

strongly collaborating with the community partners for socio-economic progress. That is open to

everyone.

Mission

Inspired by Gospel values we commit ourselves to:

• Promote the spirit of co-operativism

• Be genuinely concerned for everybody’s welfare.

• Be fully conscious of our responsibilities.

• To work with the Co-operative movement, non-government and government organization in the

promotion and development of Co-operatives and in carrying out government policies.

• To undertake other activities for the effective and efficient implementation of the provisions of

the co-operative code.

• To engage in the production, manufacturing and processing of food, beverages and other Byproducts.

• To engage in money transfer schemes centers services for Co-operatives members.

• To adopt laboratory cooperatives organized from different schools.

• To take the Co-operative movement to the rule, urban and downtrodden people and bring in a

financial stability and be a part of the development vision of Zambia.
