Our Mission:

PhosAgro is a champion for global food security. We offer high-quality nutrients that are friendly for the environment, as well as services for their delivery and assistance in using them in the most effective way.

Serving Global Markets

The superior quality and safety of our phosphate-based fertilizers benefits crops and soil wherever they are used. Our goal is to globally distribute our nutrients and promote a message of sustainability in every market we serve. We currently are expanding our production to enable PhosAgro to significantly increase the output of fertilizers and feed phosphates that are safe for the environment. As we do so, we will emphasize the United Nations sustainable development program of 17 Global Goals that should "transform the world" and help all countries achieve balance in economic, social and environmental activities.

Being one of the world industry leaders, the PhosAgro Group is actively involved in international projects that support the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Here is a partial list of international projects we lead or support.

  • We contribute to the industry by working closely with the International Fertilizer Association (IFA). IFA is the world’s largest organization that brings together manufacturers, traders, fertilizer distributors, as well as industry service providers and researchers.
  • As part of fostering environmental education, PhosAgro cooperates with the Safer PhosphatesTM media campaign. The mission of Safer Phosphates is to share knowledge — through the website and social media — and address concerns about heavy metals that are present in some phosphate-based fertilizers.
  • We are jointly implementing a project with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the UN body that leads and coordinates international efforts to combat hunger. The main goal of the organization is to provide the population with access to quality food.
  • We participate in the FAO Global Soil Partnership. This is a platform for the discussion of current issues of soil management, including the reduction of soil pollution and exchange of best practices for the use of fertilizers.
  • The Sustainable Soil Management Project creates regional soil laboratories and integrates them into national networks in Latin America, Asia and Africa, as well as in the Middle East. PhosAgro plays a key role in it, creating a single mechanism for advancing technology and expertise about proper land use.
  • The Green Chemistry for Life grant program was launched by UNESCO and PhosAgro in collaboration with the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. The project supports young scientists involved in the development of innovative technologies in accordance with the principles of green chemistry, which will help solve environmental problems, improve energy efficiency and better manage natural resources.
  • 2019 was declared by the UN as the International Year of the Periodic Table, which was created by Russian scientist Dmitry Mendeleev 150 years ago. PhosAgro is a key partner in this initiative.

These are just a few of the initiatives we support internationally, and the comprehensive list can be found on our global website.
