Project Overview

The Medellín and Valle de Aburrá Water Fund is a long term financial mechanism with the objective of developing a conservation and sustainable natural resource use program for the basins that supply the reservoirs for Medellín and Valle de Aburrá. It intends to contribute in solving the most serious problems identified in the basins according to the diagnose made with EPM experts, environmental authorities and a few universities.

Project Objectives

This project will benefit the population of Medellín, approximately 2.700.000 people, and more than 35,000 inhabitants of the supplier basins.
