Increasing investment is a sustainable water supply plan and projects as part of our business continuity plan. This included reducing water use, increasing recycling of water, identifying and developing alternative water supply i.e. ground water as well as constructing waste water treatment and reclamation facilities. We will be spending more than R200 mil over the next few years to implement the plant. The first waste water reclamation projects will be operational in October 2018. Distell is increasing its engagement with the regulatory authority and water users associations and suppliers to work together. We are also developing and implementing a number of engineering solutions/project to reduce water usage, increase water recycling and treat waste water to drinking water standard through a number of water treatment steps, including reverse osmosis to allow for it's re-use for non-product contact on-site.
