Connecting Environmental Water Needs to Arizona Water Planning Project explores what it means to consider the environment in water planning. Ultimately, the aim is to establish a dialogue among water users about voluntary, stakeholder-driven options for addressing the environment in the context of limited water supplies and existing water rights. Our outreach and assessment efforts will be focused on four Arizona regions.

Project Results

The project will engage water stakeholders across Arizona to further understand environmental water needs and build upon continuing efforts to address the increasing water demands of Arizona. Regional bulletins to increase statewide knowledge about Arizona’s environmental water needs and information applicable to water planning has been developed.
