Mexichem used a water storage tank for domestic use (for administrative areas, toilets, dining room, dressing rooms, irrigation of green areas) and industrial use (for productive process and fire protection system). During maintenance days, this tank must be empty. In this process, the company was unsupplied of water for a long period of time. Mexichem designed and built a new storage and distribution infrastructure of water, segregating drinking water for fire protection system, for domestic usage and for industrial usage too, getting better information from monitoring. Mexichem adapted to new requirements (norms) of civil defense office, which indicate that the different volumes of water must be independently managed, according to types of use. Mexichem managed to reduce 15,891m3/year water consumption in non-productive processes. Principal activities: structural designs, installation of provisional tanks, construction of underground tanks and independent pumping systems, supervision of construction, water consumption monitoring (monthly).
