Incrementar la capacidad de almacenamiento de agua durante todo el año (verano e invierno), para asegurar el riego de los cultivos y fortalecer la organización productiva comunitaria.

Incrementar la capacidad de almacenamiento de agua durante todo el año (verano e invierno), para asegurar el riego de los cultivos y fortalecer la organización productiva comunitaria.

El distrito de Villa María del Triunfo tiene un alto estrés hídrico, árida la mayor parte del año. Tiene índices de pobreza extrema de 0.8% y pobreza no extrema
de 20.3%. En invierno, el cerro Las Tunas se cubre de neblina.

La iniciativa busca bene ciar a la organización comunitaria ASALL, que está formada por 120 familias agrupadas que se dedican a la producción de frutas destinados a la venta o consumo personal. Esta organización depende de forma importante del agua que le puedan surtir camiones cisternas durante el verano y primavera, pero el precio es alto y solo pueden almacenar agua en pequeños tanques de 1000 litros

Principales Actividades

Instalación 30 atrapanieblas.

  • Construcción de 3 reservorios de 32 m3 c/u, uno por cada 10 atrapanieblas. Además de almacenar agua de los atrapanieblas durante la época de invierno, los reservorios permiten comprar y almacenar de forma centralizada el agua de los camiones cisterna en época de verano y así reducir los costos.
  • Capacitación a 17 personas sobre la operación y mantenimiento del sistema. Actualmente ASALL ya tiene capacidades para la instalación y mantenimiento de los atrapanieblas.
  • Conformación de 3 comités de riego para administrar el sistema.

Project Results

  • 96 m3 al año de agua de niebla recuperada para riego de cultivos, beneficiando a 305 personas
  • 120 familias campesinas de la Asociación Agroindustrial Llanavilla ASALL fortalecida organizativamente

Inversiones :

  • UNACEM Contribuyó con 18,788 USD, 17,576 destinados a la construcción de los reservorios y 1,212 destinados a asistencia técnica
  • La organización “Movimiento Peruanos sin Agua”, USAID y la Corporación Lindley apoyaron la construcción de los atrapanieblas y la capacitación y asistencia técnica en su construcción
  • La organización comunitaria ASALL contribuyo con mano de obra
