GREEN ENERGY MANAGEMENT STRATEGY FOR WESTERN AREA URBAN AND RURAL DISTRICT

Sierra Leone Engineering Solutions CSO, is to focus special attention and priority, is to built and provide services to ensure for a sustainable energy future for people and communities in both rural and urban of the Western Area District.

Therefore, the organization is committed to advocate for the proliferation, generation and the distribution of green energy consumption level in the area of operation to 40% by the 2035. This will ensure for an increase of off-grid electricity supply, that will be reliable, clean and affordable for residential and commercial use.

Therefore our principal focus and potential sources of off-grid electricity supply chains are solar, wind turbine, geothermal and biomass. It is anticipated that with the use of green energy, there will also be a corresponding increase and inputs to improve on the standard of living and also to promote socioeconomic growth for people and businesses.

We wish to form strategic partnerships with the Freetown City Council and other Local Councils to help and support the development of a " Western Area Green Hub Platform", for the free flow of ideas, skill development and training, research and development, business opportunities, etc.

In consideration of the recent trend from the shift of the use of fossil fuels to green or renewable energy, there is a need for a consensus and action plans at community levels to involve policy makers, institutions to adjust to the change and transition stages.

Inclusively, the issue of climate change and mitigation measures are more efficient and effective at micro scale and Community levels, to tackle and prevent environment disaster like floods, landslides and fire hazards.

The organisation will help to survey and give reports on environmental issues and impact assessment to relevant stakeholders for action and solutions.

Another aspect of our green energy solution pacts is to accelerate and support education of environmental studies and science at primary, secondary and higher education levels. Awareness campaigns and workshops are necessary tools available in climate change adaptation and mitigation measures

Despite our objectives to provide Cheap energy and safe water supply, our other concern is on how to manage the flow and sustainable supplies in communities, in consultation and agreement with the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources in the Western Area District.

We therefore aspire to form strategic business arrangement and partnerships, at the early stages of incorporation with leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart energy and water saving gadgets, around the world either through the marketing of their products, and to organise exhibition and trade fair events in Sierra Leone.

Our current research and development goal, as part of the anticipated Western Area Green Energy Hub Initiatives (WAGEH), is to construct a wind turbine with capacity of 1KW, on a pilot scale, that when completed will provide electricity for schools, hospitals and houses.

The research plan is also to create space for business development and business partners to hire our products and services, at affordable prices, mutual alliance, to encourage the free flow of feedbacks from our clients and Committee heads on how to improve the capacity and performance of our products.

As part of our Green Energy Empowerment Act, our vision is wide open to the following

1. Green Energy supply, and saving methods

2 Water supply chain management consulting and technology for recycling and sustainability

3. Waste Management and Innovative solutions

4 Natural Disasters Management and participation

5, Climate change preparation and transfer of Energy

6, Improve sanitation and logistics WASH and innovative solutions at all levels
