In 2022 Cummins awarded the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) a grant for its platform 50 Litre Home Coalition (50L Home) to identify and support a network of local stakeholders interested in delivering systems change for the El Paso-Juarez area and convene the group to articulate a shared portfolio of relevant and transformative investment opportunities.

In 2022 Cummins awarded the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) a grant for its platform 50 Litre Home Coalition (50L Home) to identify and support a network of local stakeholders interested in delivering systems change for the El Paso-Juarez area and convene the group to articulate a shared portfolio of relevant and transformative investment opportunities.

This initial grant identified a group of transformational water conservation projects, and the next step to enable their full potential is to develop further the long-term investments and initiate the implementation of short-term proposals.

Long Term Projects

  • Water Observatory/Lab: an independent collaborative ‘think and do’ tank focused on sharing best practices and data as well as testing new ideas for El Paso-Juarez area
  • Agventuras: a centre for the promotion of water-sensitive technologies and practices in agriculture for the El-Paso Juarez area and other areas in the mid-basin of the Grande/Bravo del Norte river.
