During last 4 years partner laboratories have analyzed more than 20 000 samples of tap, ground and well water. Project Results

Based on the monitoring results most urgent water problems were determined according to water sources and territory. The majority of ground wells turned to be inappropriate for drinking water purposes due to the high content of nitrates – effect of agricultural food growing. Most of artesian wells need special treatment aimed to iron, manganese, organics, ammonia and hydrogen sulfate. Tape water should be conditioned by total organics, including disinfection by-products, iron and dissolved chlorine.
