The Grand Karnataka Project aims to provide training and work towards increasing groundwater table level through Watershed management project in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka, Rotary Club of Bangalore, VVKI (Art of Living Foundation), Rotary Club of Silicon Valley for Global Impact, and Overseas Volunteer for a Better India to execute watershed management to recharge groundwater through de-siltation, construction of recharge wells and water pools.
To ensure the sustainability of the project, our project will provide training towards watershed management and construction of recharge structures to the local rural population. These trained individuals, post-project, would gain employment to lead local communities in developing sustained natural farming systems that strive to enhance local economic independence while supporting ecological restoration in the region.
