International Transformation Foundation (ITF) is a youth-led non-profit organization providing youth educational and self-development programs encompassing leadership and entrepreneurship to harness creativity for a youth system that provide jobs, offers security, opens opportunities to grow and contributes to the development of communities. The ITF current projects are:

  1. Join the Pipe: The project entails installing sustainable tap water stations near playgrounds, city centers, parks, schools and bus stations for people to drink clean tap water whenever possible. Operated in partnership with Join the Pipe Foundation it is realized through 2 main activities:
  2. A Water Kiosk at School: This is a primary school-based and students-managed business selling clean tap water to community residents at an affordable price. It consists of financing a community school to set up onsite water kiosk with sustainable products for the students to transport tap water from school to their homes. It is both an educational and profitable business teaching the students business and entrepreneurial skills, and generating much-needed income for schools. It provides practical education bridging the gap between school and work. And contribute to development of a community with a school which is able to support itself.
  3. Public drinking tap water station: Plastic soup is a worldwide problem, especially in developing cities without proper solid waste management systems. The menace of single-use plastic bottles interferes with natural ecosystems, as a result becomes a huge threat to the environment. Together with the City Councils we place drinking tap water fountains for people to access clean tap water without having to use the single-use bottles as a way of conserving the environment.
  4. Jijenge Kijana Fund: This is a youth livelihood pathway offering micro-credit, micro-saving and training to ITF members enabling them to engage in productive and stable activities leading to a sustainable and secured income.
  5. Mobility Projects: This is the European Union (Erasmus plus programme) co-financed capacity building projects, which gather global partnerships from different organizations and countries/continents including ITF with an aim of tackling youth unemployment by bridging educational sector and labor market enabling young people to undergo work-based learning and strengthen cross sectorial networking.
