Mission: Water for all. All for Water.

Viva con Agua (VcA) Uganda is a National Non-Governmental Organization established and committed to increasing access to clean and safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene for all Ugandans. We are a local partner of the international VcA Cosmos, and we create innovative ideas to sensitize schools and communities about the importance of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).

This calls for an increase in accessibility to safe and clean drinking water and basic sanitation for all humans across the world.

We the Universal Languages Approach (ULA) to communicate messages on water, sanitation, and hygiene. This approach uses sports, music, dance, and art as tools for education and awareness. We believe that learning about the ideals of water, sanitation, and hygiene should be through joyful means to influence long-lasting routines.

With 09 years of vast experience in the WASH sector plus the core Water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects execution in schools and communities, VcA has constructed toilet facilities and water and sanitation facilities in schools around Kampala and Wakiso respectively. VcA has also integrated supporting schools and communities with safe drinking water through our partnership with Spouts International to provide water purifiers to schools and communities in Uganda. With the above experience, Viva con Agua has a network of contacts (72 registered individuals and organizations to the Agua Hub network) that entails working with visual artists through Art for WASH, dancers through Dance for WASH, musicians, and sports personnel through football for WASH to enhance the establishment and increment in access to safe clean water and basic sanitation to all human across the country. To strengthen systems at a local and national level, Viva con Agua together with her partners on the Global WASH program, Viva con Agua Uganda is implementing a system strengthening and advocacy project in Bundibugyo and Ntoroko districts to engage local leadership in proper water systems management and operation and maintenance.
