SWIM is a youth organisation that works for a world where every person has unconditional, conflict-free access to water and sanitation. Our overarching goal in SWIM is the prevention or resolution of water-related conflicts. To achieve this, we work on water governance giving special attention to integrity as one of its main pillars. We are particularly interested in the role of non-state actors in influencing transboundary water interactions, therefore complementing rather state-centric frameworks. We also work towards effective integrated water resource management by creating a more holistic and sustainable outcome to technological-oriented projects by considering the environmental, social, economic, and political dimensions.
