In order to reduce the dependency on water withdrawal from groundwater sources, Brisa has conducted a feasibility study for installing an Industrial Wastewater Recovery Plant within its Izmit Production Facility (Marmara Basin) in order to reduce the water withdrawal demand. The project has been approved in the reporting period and the plant is planned to be operational at the end of 2018. Moreover, Brisa has also taken proactive measures to install a wastewater treatment system in its new Aksaray Production Facility (Konya Closed Basin) and water storage pools and tanks with a capacity exceeding its planned water demand to minimize the Facility’s dependency on external water supplies.

Project Results

Water storage with a capacity exceeding its planned water demand will minimize the Facility’s dependency on external water supplies.
