Over the course of the past decade a cluster of environment-related risks, notably extreme weather events, failure of climate change mitigation and adaption as well as water crises, has emerged as a consistently central feature of the Global Risk landscape. In preparation for Day Zero, Sanlam has commissioned boreholes as back up plans. In partnership with WWF Sanlam developed water files to help companies communicate the correct message with their staff and for the City of Cape Town and the Western Cape with regards to the drought in the Western Cape.
