The formation of Organisation of African Youth, (hereinafter referred to as “OAYouth”) was an inevitable response to a need that all youths in Africa have.Young people in Africa are growing and inheriting a continent ravaged by hunger, poverty, disease and war. We the youth of Africa seek to control our future. The social progress and justice that was promised by our founding fathers, seems to be stillborn, and the youth want to infuse fresh life into it. Organisation of African Youth shall therefore represent all youth in Africa to encourage a future leadership that understands human rights, social justice, democracy and compassion for the people. We believe the future leadership should be nurtured with the nourishing milk full of all the principles of democracy, economic development, political tolerance, social responsibility and justice. This shall be propelled through an all inclusive forum that youth can use to chart this noble course, that accords them access to leadership training, interactive participation in innovation and entrepreneurship, volunteerism and the will to engage in peaceful conflict resolution. This should be introduced to the youth and serve to build strong good quality leaders with the continent at heart and these learned values maymove the continent from its current malaise. VISION A united African continent of Peace and Security, Democracy and Human Rights, Developmental Prosperity and Opportunity.
