Aqua for All is a foundation dedicated to the poorest people in the world. Our purpose is to sustainably increase the number of people with access to clean water and adequate sanitation. We act as a networking agent, connecting public and private organizations to mobilise resources, expertise and finances from the Dutch water sector toward development aid projects focused on water and sanitation. 3R stands for "Recharge, Retention and Reuse of Groundwater & Rainwater". 3R is a program that deals with the management of the water buffer - in relation both to development and adaptation to climate change, through recharge, retention and reuse of groundwater and rainwater. The 3R program promotes and implements technologies for people in water-scarce regions to help them maximize the use of available water. For example, the program focuses on improving rainwater storage in wider hydrological units, providing water for drinking and for economic use. These projects are linked to spatial planning and management of both natural and artificial recharge. Aqua for All together with partner organisations Acacia water, Meta Meta and Rain foundation lobby major planning / funding agencies and businesses to invest in these technologies. Pilot projects and experiences of many of our partners are proven successes, and we see great potential to replicate the application of these technologies in various regions.
