Monitoring and Knowledge Sharing


Processes, tools, and frameworks that contribute to: expanding knowledge and transparency, institutional capacity and understanding; building trust among concerned parties; monitoring and measuring performance; sharing data, leading practices and lessons learned; analyzing data and research; and considering how, when, and what information is exchanged.

Effective water management requires robust data, monitoring systems, and analytics. In many cases, monitoring systems are non-existent or under-resourced and data are not shared or analyzed regularly by decision-makers. Funding the collection, analysis, and sharing of such data can support source sound water resource management and decision making.
