In 2017, Tigre had 438,906 inhabitants and 30.5% of locals had a connection to an excavation or well in their land, which exposed them to unsafe water (Water Governance Platform, 2017). Particularly, General Pacheco lacks running water and drains, which results in ditches and open-air sewers. In 2012, the state company Agua y Saneamientos Argentinos S.A. (AySA) brought official drinking water networks to the polygon. This is where the project seeks to intercede, guaranteeing an effective and permanent household connection given the reduced capacity of several neighbors to face the economic cost and its sustainability throughout time.
