L'Oréal has developed an e-learning module called #SafeTogether that updates employees on the L'Oréal Group’s workplace hygiene and health protocols, including best handwashing practices. L'Oréal requires its employees to take the module, available in 14 languages, before returning to work. Over 14,000 employees have already successfully completed the course. L'Oréal has made a version of the module available publicly via CrossKnowledge, a digital learning company, where it can be used by CrossKnowledge’s 500 corporate clients. L'Oréal has developed an approach to restarting its global business activities that incorporate regional differences in language, regulations, and timing of lockdowns. While some elements of this global strategy are adaptable to local contexts, others are non-negotiable, such as the availability of hand sanitizer at entrances and frequent cleaning and disinfection of canteens, changing rooms, and other high touchpoints. In addition, L’Oréal has partnered with industry trade partners and produced a "Back to Business" support guide to help its network of 25,000 partner salons reopen. The guide, which details hygiene and operation guidelines, will be shared via an E-learning platform. L’Oréal will also supple over 100,000 hand sanitizers to its partner salons.
